The city of Wagrowiec is situated in the north-east of the Wielkopolska region (Western Poland), 50 km north of Poznan, almost halfway between Warsaw and Berlin. The area is rich in lakes, one of which (Durowskie Lake) is situated exactly in the city center. The special attraction of the city is the crossing point of two rivers: Nielba and Welna which is said to be unique phenomenon in Europe. The town is an important rail and road junction.
